KNP Farming Systems Survey
DATA - EXAMPLES
The main objective of the Farming Systems (FS) group was to assemble
a description of farming in the Khirthar - the classical, typical
questions: what happens; who does it; when, where, how and why?
The study is based on a variety
of information and data including field interviews with farmers and
key rural informants, official statistics, maps, transects, discussions
and observation. Examples of the data collected are provided here. As
always, these should be interpreted with caution. The intention was
to paint a broad picture of farming in the Park, rather than a detailed
analysis.
